I was at the part where you lose to the golem and they send you back through the gate and seal it. I was just about to go to the bleak future to unlock that door that said "mysterious energy"...

Uhhh, no. It has nothing in common with Secret of Mana other than the controls and menu style. Square even denies it as a sequel.

thats because secret of evermore is actually an american made game i believe.
square of japan denies it.

america tried to jump on the bandwagon.
it didnt work too well :)

Yeah, Square USA developed the game. But it has nothing to do with the Secret of Mana series. Period. Secret of Mana was the second in the series. The third was a rehash of the first with a few small changes. The fourth was Legend of Mana.

yeah i know, america "said" it had ties to the secret of mana games just because the made the game someone like it.
