Microsoft Natural Multimedia Keyboard (http://www.googlegear.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=211210)

I got mine in on Monday and absolutely love it. It's the most solid keyboard I've ever used. There's actual response to the keys when you press them. Most of the keyboards I've ever used look and feel like they break if you type too hard. The multimedia keys are nice because they don't require you to use M$ products. My Instant Messenger key is pointing to AIM and my media player button goes to Winamp.

A very functional, well thought out keyboard, and extremely comfortable. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone who's looking to get a new one.

You can play games on this for hours and hours :p

i got a logitech internet navigator kb. it's usb and i likes it.

only problem i have with it is that c won't register if you're holding e and f down... thus i can't switch to plasma gun when i'm strafe jumping :(

(had that same prob with my microsoft kb though, so whatever)

I'm not stuck on USB - it's ok if it has it...but it works fine without it....not like I'm going to be hot swapping keyboards from my computer. And wireless is just a pain because of battery life and such....

The only reason I got a wireless mouse is because the mouse moves alot....keyboard just sits in one place so I don't care about wireless....one cable isn't gonna kill me.

And the split keyboards (aka Natural keyboards) are better for ya...they are much more comfortable to use and aren't gonna kill ya as quickly as conventional keyboards. The number of cases of people with carpal tunnel is going to be incredilby large in 10 to 20 years. I like being able to have feeling in my fingers so I'll do what I can to prevent damaging my wrists.

I have the MS Internet Keyboard Pro at home and it's great. It has an inbuilt 2-port USB hub and has both the Internet and the Multimedia keys (MS discontinued it in favour of seperate Internet and Multimedia keyboards both without the inbuilt USB hub. A pity, but with PCs coming out that have frount mounted USB ports and mobos with more than two ports having the USB hub in the keyboard isn't really necessary anymore).

yeah i have that same keyboard
i love it, those two usb ports are saviours

i'd rather not deal with my hub unless i have to.

heh well...

i bought it (Microsoft Natural Multimedia Keyboard) and it's the first time i've tried a natural keyboard. it's a little weird but then i never positioned my hands properly before. i keep missing keys (damn angle) and using punctuation is a PITA..

I was doing that the first day I used mine as well....I kept hitting the Alt key cause it's so stickin big.....but I'm golden now....my typing speed has actually increased with this....after awhile in your mind you divide the keyboard in two....so you remember what keys are where better....especially the numbers along the top

I should learn to type someday.

you'd be surprised how much a natural keyboard will help...it forces ya to learn how to type (unless ya hunt n' peck the keys).

yeah, i'm getting used to it. still i sometimes hit the keys that are adjacent to the target key as i'm not used to the slope. at least i'm not trying to hit Y with my left index finger today :o

I haven't had any issues with my Logitech wireless keyboard.
Other than it doesn't have lights for Num Lock/Caps Lock/Scroll Lock. Kinda stupid, but it's nice to control Winamp from across the room with the media buttons.

whats the battery life for the wireless keyboard\mouse
i'm looking at the bluetooth and drooling

I bought a couple of the logitech ones for work....the batteries they come with are horrible....but they don't seem to have any problems with battery life after the first set.

IS the bluetooth mouse an optical one? I've noticed with the wireless explorer mouse from M$ that the laser doesn't turn off when the computer is off (which really cuts into the battery life) I get about a month and a half out of 2 batteries.

yeah the bluetooth mouse is a laser mouse

just look at the weight
Weight (12.98) LBS

almost 13lbs is way to much for just one mouse
the CD part stands for something, just cant remember what

X-Todd
