I'm messing around with Flash MX, and i was looking at your site. (Which is very cool btw.) And i had a few questions.
How many fps are you running your site at?
Your dropdown menu is really smooth.
The MX readme says 12fps is ideal.

Anyway...im just trying to get the page title to drop down on the right..and ill messs with menu stuff later.

What is the best way to go about this...right now i tried making the dropdown bar into a symbol and made it a seperate movie.

this is what im looking at.

Im using FlashMX, i dont know if its the easist program. Ive heard SWiSH is easier, but i dont know if it will do what i want.

Just point me in the general direction and i can figure it out from there..thanks.

FlashMX is the heart and brain of the Flash universe.

Using Swish would be like using a kidney in replacement of either. (it's mainly a text effect program anyways)

I can't remember what FPS my site is running at, I believe it's 40fps. I find it amusing that the FlashMX readme says 12fps is ideal (unless you enjoy choppy animation). I would recommend maybe 30+. The higher you go, the smoother the animation is, however it does make the resulting SWF filesize bigger. It's not a terrible size bloat really, just something to be aware of.

The menu should be an animated movieClip of the menu symbol dropping down and such, and this Clip plays when you tell it too or automatically. Depends what yer doing.

Also another thing to note is higher FPS = more CPU usage, which can be an issue if you're making a lot of shit fly around.

Not hard.
You more than likely can find a decent example here.
