Okay, my wife was checking out some music at a website. They have samples in "wma" format. XP won't allow us to play the samples. We get this personal license migration service horse shit.
Anybody know a way around this?

That's the problem guys, I downloaded the track and tried to play it with winamp. Winamp comes up, but then the browser pops up with that licensing shit and it blocks winamp.
The OS is preventing it somehow.

Yup, I'm at SP1 on top of XP pro.
My wife's laptop is not at sp1 and has the same problem.

I think by "kazaa" he means Kazaa lite. There is no such thing as normal "Kazaa" anymore. Atleast not amongst the non-retards.

Well, seeing since the website is the artists website... and he provides samples to try and get people to buy his music... and the track in question is one of those samples... I don't think that it's supposed to be active in this case.
Just a hunch though. ;)

Hmm, after I dissected mine, it works like a charm, except for the lack of good quality songs, it's good for other things.
it looks like things are only going to get harder with Longhorn...
