'Carrot on a Stick' Night

Everyone over lvl 40 invited.

Here is what we need to do.

1. Share quest (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?wquest=2770) to those that need.

2. Get Mallet of Zul'Farrak so that we can summon Gahz'rilla (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/mob.html?wmob=7273) in Zul'Farrak (http://www.worldofwar.net/cartography/instances/zulfarrak.php).
To get that we need to do the following.

Kill Qiaga the Keeper (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/mob.html?wmob=7996) to get Sacred Mallet
Take Sacred Mallet to Jintha'alor in the Hinterlands where Priestess Hexx (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/mob.html?wmob=7995) is.
Use Mallet on Altar and you get the new mallet that will summon Gahz'rilla.

3. Go to Zul'Farrak and summon Gahz'rilla from the pool.
4. Turn in quest (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?wquest=2770) for Carrot on a Stick.

If you guys need the original mallet that starts the quest, I have it on my warrior ... no need to waste time going into the instance just for that ...

yeah the regular mallet drops off a mob in the hinterlands, you dont have to get it from the instance anymore :D

and it drops one per person now too :D

but feel free to tank along with us ;)

im sure if we wipe enough we'll be callin for that mallet, or at least to have you come since its BoP.

Ok so I may as well post this 'cause the night was funny.

Short Version: Successful! Well for me and Fuzzy at least :D

Long Version:

Step one to get the Sacred Mallet was me, Syzop and Moletar. We found the temple and worked our way through the mobs no problem. Then the chick we need to kill is an elite, with an elite named guard and two high level guards (non-elites). We manage to kill her and some of us loot the mallet from her, then we wipe...yippeeeee

Step to, to get to the alter to make the Mallet of Zul'Farrak, was a little harder.

I had no idea it was a temple full of 46-49 elite mobs, usually pulls of 2-3. :(

So we start in and get going, but we are just moving too slow, so we break and I say that while they leave I'll try and get a higher level group to go through it with me.

I form a group, 53'lock, 51'priest, 52'hunter, 46'rogue, and we go.

The lock is destroying everything and making it a cake walk. We fly through it and I hit up the altar and we are good to go. Funny thing was that the rogue rolled need on a leather drop that had int/stam on it and the lock almost melted his face for rolling need. :lol:

Now on to forming the group for ZF.

Finally get a group.

Needless to say we tank through it, killing everything in our path and Gahz'rilla died so fast it wasnt even funny...it was harder to get to him than to kill him :D

I want to go back and kill scarabs. I was wondering why everybody was killing them, I didn't realize it was a quest and I had it. Doh.
